12 Years 2 Years

Written by Courtney Taylor

What an amazing week. This week I hit two massive milestones in my life. 12 years of doing something that I actually love have never seen as a job.

‘Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life!’

This week also marks two years of owning my own business. Has it been easy - no! Would I change a thing - not a chance!

The past two years have been incredibly tough including my workplace being totally flooded resulting in me having to find an alternate place to work from for six months only to come back home to work and have COVID-19 strike and shut my business down for five and a half weeks.

Christmas Message

Written by Courtney Taylor

I would like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.  2020 has been an extremely tough year with the complexities of COVID-19 significantly impacting so many small businesses. Whilst my business has been impacted my ability to continue working and operating my business has been primarily due to the support and loyalty of my clients. Thank you.  As I previously advised there is a small price increase in 2021. I have tried to keep this as low as possible to offset the fact I now have to register for GST. I also have some new therapies I will be introducing and I am excited to announce them in the new year. I will only be having a short break over Xmas/New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2021. Merry Christmas.

Update of Pricing, Xmas and New Therapies

Written by Courtney Taylor

I was advised this month that I will now be required to apply GST to my fees. I have made the decision to absorb this tax.

I have not had a price increase in the 20 months since opening my business and have made the decision to apply the following small increases from 1 January 2021:

60 min - $83.00

60 min (less than 14 days) - $78.00.

I am pleased to announce that I will resume trading on Tuesday, 5th May 2020. The Federal and State governments have reclassified remedial massage and aligned it to physiotherapy.

I have put the following COVID-19 precautions in place:

  • gaps between appointments have been extended to 30 minutes to allow a deep cleaning of the room and access touch points.
  • a short screening test will need to be completed before every appointment.
  • I will not be taking new clients until further notice.

Online bookings are available. If the week is fully booked please call as I have retained a small number of emergency appointments each week where required.

Well the time has come where I have been directed to close my business due to the COVID-19 Crisis. Whilst I know it is necessary, and we need elevate our self isolation to protect lives, it is still devastating. However, my situation does not compare to many Australian families - my thoughts are with them all.

Whilst I will be closing I uam taking steps to reduce the financial impact personally and on the business. This will allow me to reopen very quickly after the the crisis ends.

Natural therapies has been my life for the last 11 years. It remains my passion and I truly thank you all for supporting me, particularly over the first year of operating my own business. I truly value each of you and please keep safe during this crazy period we are about to face.

Returning to Springfield

Written by Courtney Taylor

I will be reopening my room in my home at Springfield on Tuesday 3rd March 2020.

My current hours will remain the same on Monday - Friday.

I will be providing remedial massage service at Camira Pharmacy every second Saturday.

If you wish to book at either relocation simply select the location and make the booking.

As many of you are aware major flooding in our home resulted in the move to Camira while repairs were completed. I want to personally thank you all for your continued support.

I have been advised by my managing Professional Association that they have experienced difficulties retaining their accreditation with ARHG.

To ensure this potential affect on my HICAPS registration I have registered with a second Professional Association. This registration is now complete however there may be possible lapse in claiming HICAPS up to 14 Feb 2020.

I appreciate your ongoing support of my business and whilst this possible interruption is out of my control I do apologise for any possible convenience.
